This striking monochromatic etching captures the brooding, prehistoric atmosphere of Clatteringshaws Loch in the heart of Galloway. Created as part of the 1930s hydro-electric scheme, the loch sits in a landscape steeped in Scottish history and wild, "Dark Sky" solitude. I have used deep, saturated blacks to ground the pine-covered slopes, contrasting them with a luminous sky that reflects off the water's surface. It is a study in quietude—a visual representation of the "solitary places" where the spirit finds room to breathe.
