As part of my exhibition “The Sublime Landscape” the Grosvenor Museum has asked me to hold a demonstration of etching. This will take place in The Queen’s School art room where we are lucky enough to have facilities for this amazing process. If you have never seen an etching produced it is a fascinating technique which has been around for some six hundred years. It was mastered by artists such as Rembrandt, Goya and Picasso. I will be demonstrating how to make and print an etching during the soirée. Drinks and nibbles will be provided. Suitable for age 16+. Unfortunately there is no disabled access.
To book a place for Tuesday 6th June please send a cheque for £5 payable to ‘The Queen’s School’ with your name, email and telephone number to Mr A R Tucker, Head of Art, The Queen’s School, City Walls Road, Chester, CH1 2NN. (Space in the art room is limited so places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.)
